FUNDAMENTALS: 1st -3rd.  May is the last month for the 2022-2023 Art Class Program. We have been asked by the District attorney’s office to display some of ALLAN FINE ART ACADEMY students’ artwork. This will be for mid-June till mid-August. I would love to have your artwork displayed!


BUILDING ON FUNDAMENTALS all to collect several pieces of your best work (can be from another class year) and bring them to me. These need to be mounted in a frame since they will be displayed on the courthouse walls. I will handle the rest.

Drawing: Students will learn stronger skills to develop more realistic drawing by measuring proportions, shading, and edging, along with perspective, foreshortening, and composition. They will have varied visual exercises with charcoal, graphite pencil, Prismacolor pencils, pen and ink, and conté crayons.

FUNDAMENTALS:  Class is geared toward beginner high school students.

ADVANCED: Class is geared toward students who have previous experience with art. This class will help them perfect their skills to create and strengthen their own style. This class is excellent for mastering techniques and improving all mediums.

Painting: Students will learn to explore and express visuals by using color. We will use mediums such as acrylic, watercolor, chalk, and oil pastels. Color theory will be taught to strengthen paintings and learn how to mix any color. They will master how to use paint strokes and water balance when using various mediums. Students will learn the importance of the right brushes and palette knives to apply acrylic and watercolor.
