FAQs
What makes Allan Fine Art Academy different?
Our program is unique because it is semi-private, with no more than five students per class, led by a professional, trusted mentor. The teacher walks students through each project with step-by-step demonstrations, explaining the reasoning behind each technique and the characteristics of the medium and tools used to achieve the best-quality piece. This small-group setting creates a relaxed atmosphere where students receive individual attention, direct feedback, and answers to their questions while completing their projects. The teacher supports both foundations skill-building and advanced creative techniques.
Why do our students enter competitions?
Competitions give students the opportunity to compete with their peers and learn the process of research, preparation, organization, and problem-solving — all while presenting their strongest skills within a deadline. Everything is completed in class, and the teacher submits the finished piece. This experience builds character and creates standout pieces that can set students apart from their peers and be used on college applications for national competitions.
